Someone else pointed this out to me last night. I didn't project through how the draft order and setup might unduly tilt things. I tend to not worry about who might get whom when. I agree that those with the early picks have an advantage, but then again, they usually do in theme draft leagues. Seems like the pool is big enough that even those drafting later in RDs 1 & 9 can still get some very good NeL players. And of course, the manager picking the first NeL player in RD 9 doesn't get to pick another until 22 more NeL players go off the board. I'm reluctant to change things once the draft has begun, and my feeling is, while the point has validity, I'm inclined to leave things as is. My experience with things like this is, you start messing with the original rules/setup, some people get upset. Unless there is [b:21f516ca34]unanimous[/b:21f516ca34] sentiment to change it, we'll leave it alone. But it certainly bears remembering for similar future themes.

I totally agree with mister mister. No offense to Steve obviously, but his [b:be729c9cc3]first pick [/b:be729c9cc3]of NYY pre has him set at offense, then he could add Turkey Stearnes or John Beckwith to Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Dickey, et al........

I sent Mark a PM last night on this issue. If we all agree, I am for the change.

One thing to keep in mind though is that the salary cap will equalize things slightly as Babe and Gibson for example will eat $30 million. Still, a team with Babe and Gibson in a $140 million league could be lethal.

Keep on drafting, and speak up re: changing the draft order for RD 9 & beyond, if you ALL feel it equalizes things better. **REMEMBER** - In case of players with multiple cards, first owner drafting a squad with that player gets him, but must use the player's card for the team drafted.
And also, that your four hitting and pitching squads MUST consist of one each of the DB, Pre, Post and Exp teams.

For some reason, I had thought that we would have a second randomizer to determine the order of the NeL player draft, which seems to me to be the fairest method. Perhaps this might be the best solution to the dilemma raised by misterg. I agree with Mark that changing the rules after the draft has started is never a good idea, but I also don't like the fact that the manager who gets the last choice of teams automatically gets the last pick of the NeLers. How about a second randomizer after Round 8?
