I actually thought the NeLers could be picked at any time when I originally signed up as well. I think in future versions of this theme, that would be an improvement as well.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't think Steve getting the first NeL player pick, with the NYY Pre, makes him a lock. Of course, he will have a scary lineup; that happened as soon as he made the Pre Yanks his pick. But consider, after he makes his first NeL pick, 22 more NeL players will be taken before he gets to pick another. Just going by salary alone, that will put him down to the below $7m NeL players by the time he gets to make his second selection. Who's to say that someone getting a combo of a Suttles/Wright, or OH Johnson/Paige, etc. won't get more bang for his buck? Anyway, it's been decided and we can all see how the eventual season plays out. If Steve wins it all, you can all say you told me so. But I'm not worried, as he'll have to get past me first. :P

And yeah, guys, I agree with you. It would have been better to have done it that way, in retrospect. Again, it's my bad. But, where were those opinions BEFORE we started drafting? 8-) Just saying... :P But again, it's on me. I should have thought it through better.

EVERYONE READ! It has been suggested that the current draft set up gives an unfair advantage to those of us drafting early in the first round (mainly the first 4 or 5 spots), as we are also due to get the first early picks when we begin drafting NeL players starting in RD 9. I can see how this could create too much of an imbalance. My bad for not thinking it through better. I am fine with either starting RD 9 with the inverse of RD 1; Cubs48 goes first, then WarrenBob, Bontomn and so on. Or, as suggested by Bontomn, running another randomizer to determine a new draft order for the 4 NeL rounds (although it's conceivable one of us with an early round one pick could again be slotted early).
BUT, I know it can cause problems changing up the original rules once the draft has begun. Therefore, I am only willing to change this if EVERYONE signs off on it. If even one person has an issue with changing it, then I am leaving it as is. So, it must be UNAMINOUS! So, say yes or no, please. No "I don't cares".
