Question about fielding

In last night's games I saw a put out on a gb(2B)x where Fred Patek was playing 2nd. Patek is rated 3E36 at SS, but is not rated to play 2nd.

How often do non-rated players make the put out?

Not very often on an X. He would be rated 5 with the highest possible E rating which would result in hit or an error about 90% of the time.
