One thing we added to this thread in the last league is a list of owners who could not bid on certain players either because the opening bid was higher than they could legally match, or late in the auction because they were full and could no longer draft a certain kind of player (say pitchers).
If an owner is ineligible to bid, you do not have to wait for them, but just count them as a pass.

Current bid limits (I'm just listing owners who go under $3), as I read them.
Ironwill max 2.04
Danielz max 2.84

So for players opened above these amounts, you can count these folks as a pass.

In our last league, there was a special deal where you could pick up up to 3 players half way through the season if you had space left under 200mil. I didn't see that mentioned this time. Are we doing that this time around?

this could subtly affect my strategy.

I am ok if we do not bother with that this time. It adds a degree of complexity that seems like more work than it is worth. Obviously, I will be happy to go along with it if that is what the majority wishes.

I planned NOT to have a supplemental draft. There is NO advantage to keeping any of the $80 million bidding money at the conclusion of the draft. (there MAY be a use to keep under the $200 million in total player salary if you wish to trade player years during the season)/

To clarify - the 25 players you buy in the auction are the 25 you get to play with. No trades, No new FA pickups after the draft. You CAN trade cards on the same player during the season (for example you could start the season with the $10.04 Boudreau, but then drop him and pick up the $6.78 version after game 3...then switch back to the $10.04 for game 7) as long as you stay under the $200 million for the season.

(the $200 million max in the auction is based on maximum value cards. This is an independant $200 million max from the league after play begins).

hope that is not too confusing. :)

I believe you are in error. I have more $ left than that.
On the financial statement it says I have 6 pitchers but I believe I only have 5
