Letting HAL set the rotation

Postby wavygravy2k » Mon Oct 18, 2010 3:14 pm

I picked up a starting pitcher (Welch) last night and was waiting to see if HAL would add him as a probable starter for tonight's games. So far, the starting rotation hasn't changed, though. I'm assuming this means that the year for the player I picked up is not any better than the four (Stewart,Mussina, Smoltz, Viola) SP I'm currently using?

HAL doesn't treat the starting rotation in the same way he treats the offense.
HAL will prioritize pitching in the following way:

1. Per-Game Starters
2. Rotation
3. Highest salaried starter who is available to pitch.

You can not base player seasons according to starting pitcher usage by HAL.

After thinking about this a bit more are you sure it goes by salary? The CD-ROM engine doesn't take salary into consideration.

I've tested it multiple times myself, and every time the highest salaried, available starter is the one who pitches.
