[quote:ce28848faf="litangel"]Ouch and shock

I opened Bishop at 1.20 and everybody passed.

I did not want him, but i thought with Evers off the board and several owners needing 2b, Bishop would generate a lot of interest, so I sort of blew a roster spot.

New hitter soon, I need to regroup my strategy a little.[/quote:ce28848faf]
Negging is a dangerous strategy, especially late. I'm not gonna say who I wound up with via a neg strategy, but I have one or two...

I would have bid on Bishop, but the opening bid was about .5 more than I would go.

Hackra, you lucked out on Russo, I originally had a higher bid than yours in on Russo, but then when Howard and Evans both came out, I figured that I needed to save some cash so I backed off, this has been my worst day in the auction so far.

Yes and thanks. (although, if I had had a chance to bid the first time around, I would have won at about the price I got)....next time with the open auction, I think we shall have great fun with the whole dynamic process.

Re: Max Bishop...

Not to throw salt on your wounds, but if you didn't want him, why didn't you put him out at the minimum of 0.59?

Perhaps needs not be said now, but we're at the point in the auction you don't put up anybody you aren't willing to take.
