Ortiz v RHP: .297 / 1.059

Not Thomesque but still very good

Left a proxy

Postby Jerlins » Fri Nov 05, 2010 10:53 am

I left a proxy with the 2 folks directly after me (Schnoogens and WPWangfuddle). Actually I left two on the assumption Ineluki selects my #1 choice.

AeroDave - if you looked carefully at how few players rake against RHP this year, you would understand more the selection of Thome...

Well, Ineluki selected one of my two proxies, though was my #2 choice. Selecting Cano in RD 1, then choosing one of my proxies, well, something tells me I have found my "thorn in my side" for this league.

Here starts the run on pitching...

I knew I would draft either Lee, Halladay, or Weaver...so my choice was made for me.

Dang it, again ... I was really hoping Halladay would fall to me.

And now Zimmerman's off the board. Time to re-group ...

Question. 28 picks. No free agents. Team is your team. Does this mean the 28 players drafted are the 28 players for the year. No free agent pickups ever, correct?

I didn't want to say anything until he was drafted, but I think Morneau is a much better pick than Ortiz or Thome. I know he has the injury risk, but Morneau absolutely pounded the ball and played very good defense while he was in there. I'd say you're looking at a '4' or '5' injury, though. Still worth it in my book. Good job, Kev.

Sorry Dave but Mourneau is going to be either a 6 or 7 injury and that makes him a HUGE risk this high in the draft...
