While I am excited about the new ATG6 auction, it seems that the more stars there are in ATG, the less risk we have to take by overspending, who is the worse guy you can get stuck with?

I would like the risk of a smaller player pool. i have two things i would like to do. One is to play an auction with the 2009 cards, soon. Would anybody be into doing that?

Also, after our ATG6 auction, i would like to run 4 auctions over time in ATG6. first a deadball, then a Pre-war, then a post-war, then an expansion period. It could be a year of fun, hopefully with the same managers. Does that sound like fun to anybody else?

Sounds fun, but I kind of like to mix eras a little. So maybe one set for all cards pre-1945 and another for those post 46. So, for the pre era you get:
Deadball
Murderers Row and the Philadelphia A's teams that, if not for the Murderers row Yankees might be considered the best teams ever.
Joltin 30s
balanced first half of the 40s
Outrageous Negro Leagues.

Post Era gets you:
46-61: Big offense
60's: Expanded K zone = pitching dominance
70's & 80s: Emphasis on speed and D gives you a nouveau small ball era (specially in the NL)
90-00's: Roids, roids, greenies, HGH, etc.

Currently in the Modern Warfare draft (1946 to present, with mandatory 5 man rotation until playoffs, DH, 100M). Might be fun to do an auction along the same lines...
