3rd Auction league - bidding...now chat thread

Postby gorshar » Sun Nov 07, 2010 10:04 pm

I've done a few single year auctions, but only in the open format. Very tedious in the second half.

I like the four era format. I've done two (or was it three) passes through them but using a DiamondDope live draft opposed to an auction.

no interest in 2009 auction league

like pkb idea of 2 auctions rather than 4...altho'I'd only want to participate in the post-ww2 or modern era auction

I also have no interest in 2009.
We could make the ATG6 pool smaller by going AL and NL too

No interest in Whitey Ford. I gets him for 0.79.

Probably going to get this version:

And my pitching staff is full and busy preparing themselves for the worst year of their lives.

Pitcher nomination slides to danielz.

Future, Near and Far

Postby kimkrichbaum2 » Mon Nov 08, 2010 1:51 am

First of all, in case you didn't know, Our ATG6 Auction has begun! (although the clock will not turn on til Thursday)

It seems like we have some interest for an auction by eras in the future. I have a strong preference for 4 rather than 2, and one way to do that which takes some folks preferences into account would be to do an AL Pre-war, and NL Pre-war. and AL Post War, and an NL Post-war.

Gorshar was the only one to show any kind of preference for a 2009, and I wanted to say that if I do that it will be a hybrid auction, NOT the 6 month long open auction.

My open at .52

All passes or full.

I claim him. I'm full of pitchers....

I am fine with any ATG set. Not so much with 2009

Actually, I'm not that interested to do 2009.

I'd rather do four and do deaball, pre, post, expansion without regard to AL or NL. Though unless we did them concurrently we'd never finish by the time ATG7 comes out.
