Robinson Tejeda (DAR) no-hits Butterfingers

Williamsburg Darts 3, Curtiss Butterfingers 0
Game 14

Win:Tejeda(1-1) Loss:Sanchez(0-2)

Robinson Tejeda(1-1) was on top of his game in Curtiss as he tossed a beauty
of a no-hitter against the Curtiss Butterfingers. The Williamsburg Darts won
by a score of 3 to 0.

Tejeda was obviously at the top of his game as he set the Curtiss batters down
like so many dominoes. He walked 5 Curtiss batters. The Williamsburg
players and coaches started to leave Tejeda alone with his thoughts after the
game reached the 7th inning. By the time the 9th inning rolled around, you
could hear a pin drop every time he went to his wind-up - and an explosion
after every out. Tejeda chalked up 11 strikeouts. Williamsburg had only 5
hits for the afternoon.

Jonathan Sanchez(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He allowed just 2 runs and 1
hit in 4 innings. 'Tejeda made us look bad' Drew Seibold said. 'I've seen a
lot of good performances in my time and this one will be tucked away in my
memory bank for a long time to come'

Got my first one from him late in the season. Gave up one earned run and 5 walks. He's had a few close calls earlier in the season.

History was made in It ain't over as Robinson Tejeda(6-8) tossed a no-hitter
and the Williamsburg Darts defeated the It ain't over 'til its over by the
score of 5 to 0.

Tejeda had overwhelming stuff this afternoon. He simply never gave the It
ain't over batters a decent pitch to drive. He walked 2 It ain't over
batters. What a day for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from
the 7th inning on. With every out, the electricity in the air mounted.
Tejeda mowed down 11 It ain't over batters. Williamsburg had a total of 11
hits for the game.

Justin Verlander(15-11) was charged with the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 8
hits in 7 innings. 'Not in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen!'
Tejeda said as he stood at home plate to salute the fans. 'Once I got into
the later innings, I decided to challenge every hitter, and that turned out
to be the right decision!'

It has been some time since the last one but here is #25. This game he only gave up 1 walk and faced only 28 batters. I think this is my 3rd. Trying to catch Jeep.

The no hitters just keep getting better. Tejeda has been getting them with less walks.
Can you remember a pitcher that had this many no hitters in 1 season. This guy rocks! Good or bad outings you will always remember he had 1 for you. Me, 3.
What a fun card to put out there every 5 days.
