I've already stated my pick, in order of preference-toronto, Montreal, st .louis. I have also emailed billings to give him my proxy. I will also check in regularly .

My second round pick (when it is my turn)

I have given my proxy to Billings. My second round pick preferences are NOT the same as stated above, and I will just leave them with Billings.

I will check in from time to time throughout the day.

GL everyone!

AD Picks

Postby evanthomas » Sun Nov 21, 2010 12:36 pm

Just so I understand, when I do my autopick I have to select players from only one of my teams? Will there be any opportunity to use players from the second team? Can I select them in free agency to replace people on the first team or how does that go? the old guy

WOW, why is everyone so confused on the rules here?

Postby guardman9 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 12:44 pm

No man, you fill your draft cards with any player who has a card in the 90's strat mystery game for the two teams you selected. Not real life, the game. If you select the red sox and yankees, then you can pick players from the red sox and yankees (BOTH TEAMS YOU SELECTED)

If you are given a replacement player after the draft who does not play for either of the teams you selected, you have to drop him. No other players can be used on your team (UNLESS THEY HAVE A CARD FOR IT), trades also are tough bc you have to match with another manager who has a player only you have the rights too.

This isnt about who played where during the 90s, its all about the 5 cards in the strat game. So whomever selected boston and cleveland can put manny on their card, if i end up getting him, since i did not select one of those teams, i have to drop him.

we are selecting two teams here, not one

NOT TO MENTION HOW LONG THIS SIMPLE DRAFT IS TAKING. I mean come on, if you signed up, then freaking check the posting more than once a week.

THE "ONE OF YOUR TEAMS QUOTE", MEANT ONE OF YOUR TWO TEAMS...I THINK HE JUST MISTYPED IT

Hi,

From the first page of the rules:

[quote:9e1aa86690]When filling out your AD card you can only use players from one of your teams. It would be advisable to put important players that you share with other teams high on your AD card if you want them. [b:9e1aa86690]There is no trading allowed.[/b:9e1aa86690] Miss a player you want in the AD? You will have to make due with some other option from your available players.[/quote:9e1aa86690]

Looks like no trading is allowed. But I guess the Commish will have to chime in for the official word.

Guardsman

Thanks for helping with rules clarification. Much appreciated. Just looking at indivduals who signed up we have a wide variety of experience wanting to play this theme. If we can continue to answer all questions it will be a great time for all.

Yes it is taking some time to get all involved in the franchise draft but look at it this way It gives you more time to change your mind on who you to select next

That is correct as the rules state [b:06cdc5b113]No trading allowed[/b:06cdc5b113]

Hey- if you guys find yourself needing a replacement manager, I'd definitely be interested. I wish I'd stumbled on this league sooner.
