Jett, that is a good question. Since it isn't covered in the rules and doesn't affect fairness, it is allowed. So, you can't draft your own nominee, but you could trade for that player after someone drafts him.

I think we should never be allowed to acquire who we nominate
What if 2 teams make an arrangement during the draft...nominate joe blow and I'll nominate who you want, then we can trade them for one another.
I have the first pick, I could easily do this. (but wont, I am such an ethical person)

The Santo Line (in time for holiday shopping)
Ron Santo and every hitter with a salary above Santo is a superstar hitter. Every available hitter with a lower salary is a nominated player (not a superstar). There are 2 exceptions: Luis Aparicio and Rod Carew are superstars.

Yes, we are underway in the draft on somdraft.com. Jett has the first pick and he said he'd make the pick tonight.
If anyone is an somdraft expert, let me know. I don't know how to adjust the clock.
Proxies should be working. Please let me know if there are any problems. Also, I have tried to exclude all the un-nominated players, except for potential superstars; however, if I missed any, please let me know.
Also, I haven't excluded Aparicio, Carew, McAuliffe, Andrews, Dick Green, Yaz, etc. because I think they are marginal potential superstar picks. As the draft progresses, I may exclude these players if it becomes clear that they aren't going to be picked.
