Maybe after Terry picks with pick #167, we ought to suspend selections until we find out if Mossy is still interested or find a replacement. We shouldn't continue selecting only to find out we'll need a replacement, and while they would be starting from a slight disadvantage, the team would still be feasible to continue.

Agreed. We'll need to stop. Remembering hk said he has no computer access at work; he may pick tonight, but, in any case I also think it is proper to stop at 167 until we find out.

I agree, too. If HK wants to remain involved, then the likely answer to his access issues would be to send proxies. His current participation is not working too well, for any of us.

Picking sporadically does not allow his team to select from the best talent pool available when his turn pops up. Likewise, making the rest of us wait 4 hours every time we come to him is frustrating.

So, HK, what do you think? Can you be routinely involved in the draft? Or at least send proxies? Or should a new manager take your place?

I found an old email address for HK Mossy in another league and sent the following message to him, along with paging him in the main TSN/SOM chat.

The draft in the "Pre-Card Draft" Keeper League has been put on hold, due to your absence. This is at least the second time you've let 46 picks elapse between yours. This limits the talent pool available to you and makes it less likely you'll keep a poorer team in the league.

In addition, keeping the draft in idle 4 hours, waiting for you, is not respectful of other managers' time. It makes this a lot less fun that way.

We all know that life happens and interferes with our Strat addiction on occasion. If you are unable to participate at this time, please let us know, so we can find a new manager. On the other hand, if you do wish to stay in the league, then please draft ASAP and commit to timely responses in the future.

HK has not posted on any of the boards since Tuesday, when he made his [late] pick #11. If he does not post today, then that's more than 72 hours of non-activity in a timed draft.

I don't know if he's dealing with some family emergency or what, however I believe we'll need to seek a replacement on Saturday morning, if we've not heard from him by then.
