How about a 60's game ??

How about a 60's game ??

Postby RickRanger » Sat Dec 25, 2010 12:14 am

This is to start lobbying Strat/TSN for a 60's game like the 70's, 80's, & 90's games. I think it would be huge. I suspect there are lots of 50-something guys like me who cut their teeth on the early board games and are life-long strat players who would love to recapture their lost youth with a 60's game. Make your presence known, bros !!

I believe there are many more 50 somethings playing SOM than 20 somethings so I think your point is valid. However I doubt there will be a new mystery card game coming in the next couple of years at least.

I think it was also discussed that there may not be enough qualifying players in the era to make a viable game out of.

A combined 50s/60s card set would work great, but not enough HRs to interest most of the TSN players.

50's - 60's Homers

Postby RickRanger » Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:32 am

Well, there's a 70's set and George Foster is the only guy to top 50 during the decade. Not many even got into the 40's.

50's - 60's:

Mays and Mantle each did it twice. Maris and Kiner did it. Lot's of guys hit 40+, like Killebrew, Hondo, Reggie, Klu, Aaron, Yaz, F. Robinson, Snider, Colavito, just to name a few.

And the pitching !!
