The Biggest Cub Fan of all time has passed away. Prayers and best wishes to his family and friends.

I have always hated the Cubs, but I've always admired Ronnie's spirit.

How can anyone hate the Cubs?? Unlike a team like the Yankees, they're never in the postseason to root against.

That being said, some of the news articles have stated that many fans felt that Santo belonged in the Hall of Fame. Although I would agree that Santo was a darned good player, I personally do not consider him to be HOF caliber.

Funny after reading the last post, I am reminded of that old Cub line I've heard, "Anyone can have a bad century!"

MLB Network has Santo as the best player all time who is eligible for the HOF but not in it. They also have him as the top 3B in the 60's (ahead of Brooks) . It is a joke that he is not in the HOF.
