WOW! Zim got his wish come true and beats out Keyz for the PO spot! He lost 2 one runners including the last game in which Nix hits an 8th inning HR to tie the game. Ouch.

As for us, we finish with the third best Pythag and 82 wins. Go figure. 8 games out of a spot, but as many wins as Stoney. Our division just killed us. We went .389 win pct in our div. ugh.  I knew I was in a tough division, but... some tough breaks. However, as I thought, I was on the low end of injuries. I have my spreadsheet at work, but I'll plug things in on monday for those calcs. Happy to say we finished 2 above .500. Ugh. Pyhrric victory.

AT and Keyz join Big M and me in the Central (of course depending on whether Niners comes back)

First time ever for two NLD rookies to make the playoffs. It will be up to Stones and Jeep to hold up the NLD Vet's honor. ;) Then again, the last time we even had two rookies in the mix was NLD 13 so.....

Draft order for the next nld (although we'll have to make room for Niners and Silver if they want back in)

Hawk
Big A
DJ
Smoke

AT
JTJ
Big M
Keyz

TBD by the playoffs, but by record:

Stones
Keyz
Jeep
DT

Well that's probably it for me. Down 0-2 with my best hitters injured. Good luck in the Finals DT.

I'm down 0-2 also. Rowand-Smith and Aceves were my stalwarts all season, but both pitched poorly last night.

Wow, Jeep pulled out a couple of one runners to push it to 5 games. The first one in 12 innings on a 1-3 LFx against Sweeney and the second on in 10 after a wild 9th. Phenoms scored 4 in the top to make it 7-5 and then Jeep tied it in the bottom of 9 (after 2 out and no one on, 2b by Kendy and a pinch 1-8 HR by Rowand! and won in 10! This time the winning run came with aid of a 1-2 single off of Cano. Well, he might have been holding Lopez, but shouldn't have.

Course, Zim got a granny by Pierzynski to take the lead so....

In any case, you have to like Zim at home with Lincecum versus Hamel, but stranger things have happened!

I would have to say luck was very much on my side last night. I think I have decided to go with Moyer instead of Hammel...Seems like I have faced Lincecum a ton this season in series-clinching games, both with and without success. I've had a 5th starter beat him also, but I obviuosly am not teeming with optimism heading into tonight's game. GL Zim.
