That will be only for the 1st RD. After the 1st Rd picks are done it will be a 3 hour clock thereafter. I am only saying ONE thing.....PROXIES!!!

Adrian, although I have done a number of these drafts on DD, this seems more important now than before. Shouldn't the Proxies sort by Priority rather than by Group? Let's say your 1st 3 picks are Mauer, Bonds, and Piazza, with Mauer and Piazza in the same grouping. If Mauer is taken, I would want to go to Bonds rather than Piazza.

That is why I was hesitant in the first round to set a proxy, and still am in these crucial first few rounds. However, it's almost 10 a.m. here and I've got to go out - so I don't have much choice. :?

I suppose it would be worth some further analysis, however you are able to proxy the same player multiple times, in different groups--not sure if you were aware of that.

I didn't know that. Thanks. Have a look at the other way. Then you could list your order of preference and label your shortstops as Group 2 (for instance) even though their priority order may be 2, 6, and 8. Simpler? Workable?

First round can be a *****. People forget they sign up, or just don't check in. Once everyone is aware that we are up and running, I'm sure we'll fly through the draft. :D

Just an FYI when the 3 hour clock is up and running, as far as I am concerned when your time is up then the next guy can pick immediately. If it happens multiple times then TOO BAD that what proxies are for. I have been in way too many leagues when a guy has been skipped 2X that they wait for him to catch up. You SNOOZE you lose. Yes its harsh but we are ALL veterans here.
