I will watch the SnowMoose battle their way through the season, with Hounds yapping at their heels all the way to keep things on track.

Again, I am very happy that the club is in such good hands for this season and I look forward to following the results as often as KD sends me the links throughout the season.

As noted above, I've got great internet when I have it, but none at all when I don't. I'm trying to enjoy these months in Japan carrying out my research, but I admit that I'm always feeling the tug of my keepers and will do the very best I can to keep them afloat. This is one where I think "CubitsDad" has a good chance to bring us home a winner, but it is great to know that I'm not completely out in the cold, even in NorthernMaine.

The cards usually come out about the 1st of March. Have your drops by the 10th of March, and we will begin drafting on the boards on Sunday the 20th. (dates are partially because I have a big work weekend on March 11-13 and will be unavailable.)

I am consumed with other things, and still not focusing on Strat. As of Monday the 28th of Feb, I will refocus as league commish.

For now, a reminder of the dates for this year:

The cards usually come out about the 1st of March. Have your drops by the 10th of March, and we will begin drafting on the boards on Thursday the 16th.

Also for HKmossy, I will wait 3 days to see if you all know anyone to being onboard, if not I will put out a general announcement.

I also think it would be good to have folks to sign and conform they are playing this year:

My greatest thanks to KD for agreeing to fill in for me during my temporary absence in Japan. I just got his email telling me of the situation. It is a true act of friendship and I know owe him one credit! I have had great trouble accessing these boards since coming to the Museum of National History where I am researching for the summer and seeing my plight KD stepped in for me.

Litangel, I've been able to keep up in other leagues where I could get email announcements about deadlines and rosters, and I've done so reasonably well, but somehow this excellent league communications missed me. I am sorry I did not give you my email to make that communication possible here.

Again, I am absolutely delighted by KD's offer to keep you all on track.

Note UPDATE: As was noted, Hounds had the second best record in the League and MY very best record in some time, so I was hardly likely to let them die without a fight, but I do appreciate the situation that arises when life sometimes gets in the way of working through the SOMO boards.

Kylerose rejected filling in for Cubit because of the temporary nature, I will put up posts for a full-in replacement, and we can't find one soon, I may need to offer the team to kyle permanently to get us going.

Cubit never showed for our league, he was back on the boards for another league about a week ago, so I waited, but he never contacted us, so I think in fairness to everyone else, so I think we need to go ahead.

i offered the team for one season to Kylerose, and am waiting to here back (he was the person who was going to tale riojadave's team if Dave had not showed.

If he does not accept I will post on the boards, if you know of anyone who would be willing to take a team for one season, let us know (Cubit's team had 2nd best record in first season, so a good shot at making playoffs)

We have 11 teams in and we have lost Cubit for a couple of weeks.

I knew he said he might be out of contact for a while. But then we heard from him once and no more.

I would like to wait for him but not forever. My thought is that we could wait as long a week more, and then if we not heard from him, we could try to find a one season replacement, and then Cubit could get his team back. It might be hard to find a replacement with a bad team, but Cubit won 94 games, I bet we could find somebody.

What do you all think of this plan and timing?

Trade confirmed. While I appreciate the offer to take back one of my drops, I don't think it's fair that I do so, so I'll keep it as is. Now I just have to figure out who's available at #1.
