Big Bang Auction

I think if the commish (MBBW) had one format that everyone had to submit with it would make his job a lot easier. Excel spreadsheet?????

So far I like this format. I will take a beating learning from my mistakes but it's not life or death.

I do have a question. There is no adding or dropping in this league but can we go under or over 25 players when trading starts? If we can it might make trading a little more interesting.

I agree that it would be helpful if we can trade 2 for 1, etc.

Camnitz 9.41/2.50
Sellers .52/.75
Mcgraw 7.16/1.75
Foster 8.52/4.00
Howard 6.82/3.00
PGuerrero 6.41/150
Jackson 10.13/8.00
Freeman 2.40/.50
Maddux 11.30/5.00
Alexander 10.99/3.00
Myers 3.11/1.75
Perranoski 2.55/.50
Clear .92/.50
Piazza 9.93/4.00
Martin/.50/4.00
Lajoie 8.78/4.00
Wells 10.03/4.00
Stearnes 10.41/5.25
Sosa 7.14/2.00

127.03/52.50

I should only need 3 players having won 15 in first bid and 7 with second bid. I cant account for 3 players that ive won bids on. I only need an SP and 2 subs to complete my team.

Non-auction idea:

Autodraft with lists submitted in pm. Then if someone else gets Mantle in Round 1 and Mantle was your first pick instead of a consolation CF, you would get your next available choice(perhaps Maris who was second on your list). You might only get 15 players in "Round 1" and then would have to submit another list. Ultimately you would only get guys you put on your list rather than someone because of price who may not fit your park.

who are we missing?

(FWIW I am willing to be the non-playing auctioneer in another league if Mr. BBW and/or others want to try out a new format.)
