Draft procedure question. I didn't see this anywhere so it either hasn't been addressed, or I'm blind.

When do we declare our protected players? it doesn't affect me, but I imagine it couls significantly impact the FA and Negro league selections for those who don't know if they will have a chance for a Hornsby, Speaker, McGwire, etc.

Of course it DOES affect me in that I can better guess what players might be available based on potential draft picks...

I would suggest the protected players be announced after the 2nd franchise round.

I have sent my NeL player proxies to Treyomo. Should be in his PM. I also sent him my two protected players, should they be needed.

As far as I know, you can only protect 1 player...

We will be declaring protected players after round 2, though we won't hold up the NeL round if some don't post. If you will be in and out today, you can send me your protected players via PM and I will post once rjoh makes his round 2 selection.

You may protect 1 player per franchise/team - 1 player off your first round choice, 1 off your 2nd round choice.

Each team may have up to 3 free agents:
- 1 unlimited cost, selected in round 4
- 1 < $5M in autodraft / waivers
- 1 < $2M in autodraft / waivers
