"Great rotations" Pick a rotation of four guys who pitched together. You don't have to use the cards that pitched together, just four teammates. Name the team after them. Pitch them in their park or as close as ATGVI had for them. Fill the rest of your team however you like.
In retrospect, I'd've put them in Dodger 78 instead of 05, made a super small ball core with two Brett (at the 9 mil) type guys as the thumpers, Conner as the third bat (unhealthy like for Connor), and some bunt/steal/H&R/defense guys.
But probably, I'd take a more well rounded rotation. Got stuck on the idea of trying to use either Pedro or Randy Johnson. But neither of them have really been in a rotation that wasn't Guy + One + pray for rain. Pedros best other pitchers have been Cliff Lee (+ Jamie Moyer and a bunch of guys not in ATG like Cole Hammels) and Orel Hershheiser (and then Candy-men... -iotti and -elaria). Randy Johnson had Schilling and a bunch of guys not in ATG.
Really brings up how deep ATG is in DB-PRE-POST but thin in EXP.
Whoops: RJ had Mussina, Kevin Brown, and Al Leiter (not in) or Carl Pavano (not in).
And Lincecum, Zito (not in) and Brady Penny (not in).
Really, better ideas were out there, though I think I picked late.
Stupid lack of randomizer (would have taken a Koufax/Drysdale Dodgers, or a Cardinals team that featured Gibson and Carlton with a higher pick.
