According to the ratings book, Ortiz has a killer card vs RHP in 2010 (!). He has 10.4 die roll chances for homeruns PLUS the 8 ballpark homerun chances. He has nice doubles, a few singles, ballpark singles and tons of walks vs RHP.
His card vs LHP is anemic (nice doubles, some singles, ballpark singles, N Power but not many homerun chances at all, not much else). But with a card vs RHP like that, you might play him every day just so that he is already in the game when a RHP reliever enters for the opposition!
With a card like that vs RHP, in a homerun park, if you play him every day to maximize his plate appearances, 40 homeruns should be very doable. 50 is very possible, especially in a big homerun park.
