Santangelo a defensive replacement at catcher????

Postby chrisfu » Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:01 am

90's game, bottom of the 14th inning, I have have the lead,
Jack Howell is brought in as a fielding replacement at 3B, that makes perfect sense, but

F.P. Santangelo is moved from 3B to catcher, a position he never played, to replace Taubensee, my regular catcher??? It didn't hurt me, but why would this ever happen???

Two possible explanations:

1) You have Taubensee checked to be removed for a defensive replacement, but your backup CA/Def. replacement was used earlier in the game.

2) HAL B crazy.
