Reality theme league - unique challenge based on real teams utilizing team payrolls, similar payroll teams placed in specific divisions and an unbalanced player draft that creates parity.

24 Team league with team draft based on randomizer after league fills.

Play home team's stadium only, no duplicates or other stadiums allowed.

Divisions are based on team carded total payroll.

Luxury tax on high payroll teams (players are forfeited and added to draft pool to equalize payrolls)

6 lowest total payroll teams (Royals, Indians, Astros, Cubs, Orioles & Pirates) plus luxury tax players will be used to stock a four round player draft used to equalize low payroll team rosters.

Team name should reflect real team.

Draft picks can be traded for other draft picks, players or any combo.

Must keep any combo of 20 original carded players and players acquired via four round draft.

Frenzy will follow the auto-draft.

Teams eligible for the player stock draft do not have to use all of their draft picks. They can stop at drafting at any time, but they forfeit all remaining picks and cannot re-enter the draft. They can trade a draft pick to a draft ineligible high payroll team for a player if they want to.

After the player stock draft, teams can load their teams in the auto-draft. East teams and Rays, Padres & Giants can load immediately. I will set up the league and give out the password once the team draft has been completed. Teams cannot draft any players that belong to another team via original team card or stock draft acquisitions. Errors from auto-draft must be resolved immediately and honestly between affected owners. Integrity is a must! Frenzy will follow auto-draft.

Trades are allowed during the regular season as long as each team maintains a minimum of 20 original carded players and/or stock draft players.

Everyone is welcome, please share this with any owners that enjoy theme leagues, have played in previous seasons or like reality based teams.

Last season in this theme league, the Angels, Brewers, Blue Jays and Phils made the playoffs with the Phils beating the Brewers for the championship. Division composition and player draft keeps the parity alive and well.

1. Is the player draft done by board post?
2. What are the roster positon and player number limits?
3. What players are available in the frenzy? Is that all players not on the originally loaded rosters?

1. Yes, the player draft is done on this community posting board.
2. Zero limits on roster positions or number of players (between 24-28). It is up to each owner to decide what is the best roster composition for his respective team.
3. All free-agent players will be eligible during the free-agent frenzy immediately following the auto-draft. The only exception would be if an owner accidentally drafted a player not assigned to his original carded team or drafted during player stock draft. That would need to be worked out between the respective owners on an honor system. We would post that for all owners, so they know what is going on. Hope to have you and any other interested parties on board asap!
