This league is inspired by the late great George Steinbrenner, who before figuring out how important it was to leave the GM duties to his GM, often would go out and pick up players who didn't exactly fit his team's needs, leaving managers like Martin and Lemon asking themselves, "how exactly am I supposed to fit this guy into the lineup?"
Here's the set-up: Each participant gets to play three roles in this league. First you will be the Bad GM[/color:2286aed97e], picking the worst combination of 20 players you can come up with. After each Bad GM[/color:2286aed97e] picks 20 players, a randomizer will be run to see which manager gets which set of players. Next you play the Good GM[/color:2286aed97e], getting to select the final five players and stadium to round out your team. Finally, you get to manage your crew.
Rules:
- Bad GM's[/color:2286aed97e] pick 20 players with a total value of $55M - $60M. Among these 20 picks must be at least 1 player eligible for each fielding position.
- Team assignments are then made randomly. You could possibly even get the team you drafted.
- Good GM's[/color:2286aed97e] pick five more players and a stadium, bringing their franchise value to $80M.
- Bad GM[/color:2286aed97e] picks cannot be waived, but can be traded. You must always have 20 Bad GM picks on your roster.
- Good GM[/color:2286aed97e] picks can be waived or traded.
- League is $80M, DH, weighted waivers, no unique stadiums.
- Bad GM[/color:2286aed97e] picks will take place on somdraft.com. Good GM[/color:2286aed97e] picks will be done through autodraft.
- Draft order by randomizer.
As a long-suffering KC fan I will definitely have an edge as a Bad GM[/color:2286aed97e]!
