Seriously...look at these 2 teams...I was born in 1971 so these are 2 of the first teams that I really kept up regarding stats/rosters/etc for my youth...No wonder I'm scarred the way I am...this has to be the least talented collection of major leaguers ever...what a disgrace!

Those are not terrible teams. The 82 Indians had Hassey, Hargrove, Harrah, Von Hayes and Thornton. The pitching was not great, but they had a young Rick Sutcliffe - and he won the Cy Young in a unanimous vote only two years later (1984) - while he happened to be playing for the Cubs.

I think the Indians had worse teams in the 70s. As far as I know, the Indian's highlight of that decade was 10 cent beer night.
