Congrats

Hey KD,

Congrats on your Championship. You really spanked me in the finals.

I thought i had a chance when we split the first two games.

99 wins in the regular season and then a 7-1 run in the playoffs? Not bad, not bad at all...

Thanks guys - it was a long struggle chasing Jean Francois all season, then finally catching him with a week to go. Then I had to hang on.

If he had won his wild card series I don't think I'd be the champion right now.

But I'll take it...

Congrats Kavisksdad !

That's kind of weird, right after we talked, before the last serie of the reg. season, I've decided to do as you... I benched Mauer & Bartlett (for Olivo & Andrus) and you passed in 1st. Volunterely or not, you've played with my head...

Had a great time in that division, seriously, what A division !!!

Hey KD,

No rush, but do you have a thought on when we'll be getting updated worksheets for the league?

They are the greatest thing ever!

Franchise records

Postby tcochran » Tue Mar 22, 2011 7:11 pm

The Summer - Winter Keeper League franchise records have been published in a Google doc at:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AoHpyvKb9bEHdDZENF9kQXNvUUxKb2tDWXFaazJjaEE&hl=en&authkey=CJnuu-kM

As expected, they show the three title winning teams among the all-time leaders in wins:
277 - kaviksdad
262 - tcochran
260 - Mike Lopp/jflatour99

The top winning record of 283, however, goes to the team of hk mossy/damien666. This is the only team which has won 90 games in each of the 3 seasons, however they have never won a playoff game.

tcochran and sknsfan are the only other managers whose teams have won at least 81 games in each of the 3 seasons.

9 teams have made it to the playoffs so far and 5 of them have made it to the finals.

Some teams were originally drafted with a focus on the 2008 card set, while others were looking strictly at the 2009 one. Now that we will be further down the road, it will be interesting to see if greater parity will occur with the 2010 cards.

Let's find out in July!

I will be the first to admit that I did not deserve to make the Playoffs this season with a record below .500. There were 3 other teams that deserved to make the Playoffs before me, and honestly a team with 90 wins should be in the Playoffs before me.

I understand that we reseed the divisions after each season according to who made the Playoffs the Season before. However, this has some unintended side effects, aka Damien666 this season.

If we continue our current format, then I believe this will not be the first a situation like this will occur.

Instead of forming Division 1 with the top 4 teams, Division 2 with the middle 4 teams, and Division 3 with the worst 4 teams. What about forming divisions randomly? I am sure there are other ways this could be done too.

Is anyone interested trying to avoid having another team with a record below .500 in the Playoffs again?

I hate to bug the person who makes our spreadsheet that contains all of our league's information. Do you know when an updated one that includes all the transactions up until the last few days after the season (a few trades made right after the season)?

Also, I am looking for some solid Relief Pitchers. I am not looking for $4 or $5 million dollar RP, but in the range of $2 to $3 am willing to trade starting pitchers other than Hudson, Cahill, Garica, and Danks.

That leaves
Wade Davis
Dallas Braden
Jeramey Guthrie
Fastao Carmona
John Garlandl
Jair Jurrejjens
Wade Leblanc
Clayton Richard
Johnny Cueto
Zito
and I have rights to Niese and Sanniaba
