Sorry for the double post, but wanted to get this out as soon as I could.

Silver drafted Berkman, but didn't put him on his draft list.

So, he needs to cut someone of similar cost prior to waivers.

I would suggest Dyson or Tolbert.

I'll be cutting Alvarez.

Ok, that makes this a sticky situation where we'll need people to weigh in.

I'm thinking we may need to have you cut one of those two guys in waivers and leave them for a time period. That's kind of not fair to you, but then again, you made the mistake.

Don't know what the right answer is, but maybe that works?

Well, I messed up b/c I forgot to put Berkman on my list, so I'll do whatever the league says, but not sure I follow the logic on which guys I have to drop.

I had about $1.7M left in cap before cutting Alvarez, and Berkman is a $2.3M player, so if we're talking about needing to cut someone at least $600K in value in order to make up that gap. I think logically I'd need to cut anyone above that level in order to accommodate what Berkman's slot would have been, right? So that puts Slowey & Camp in the picture as well.

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Dave is a trustworthy vet who just made an honest mistake. I would vote to just let it go with a slap on the virtual wrist. ;p

Why not ask Silver to use his 1st waiver pick on Berkman?
