I never said you ripped someone off Sandy, I just said that if he was buying Hellickson on the basis of having a useable card by this SOM season, it wasn't a good buy IMO. I stand by that.

But in fairness to you, we split the baby here as far as the actual "bet" we had. No, he doesn't have a really useable card this year, which was my main point, but I also said I doubted he'd get 50 IP by the 2012 season, and I'll definitely lose that part of the bet, barring injury.

Thanks, not sure he's gonna be great shakes with the glove, but I like what I've read on the hitting profile. Patient, will take a walk, makes good contact and has some pop projected 12-18 HR's. That's a projection I can live with out of a middle infielder. :D
And unlike some of the other 2b that have been drafted, I know when he'll be in the majors. :wink:

Yes must have signed with an ML team prior to this year's Rule 4 draft, is I believe how KD phrased it.
So international signings this past offseason are fair game, but no Japanese players or other internationals who play pro ball in their countries but have not yet signed with an MLB club.

i drafted darvish. the rule must have changed. anywho... i picked.
you guys will not believe this... After the Sano pick to cap round one I had a list of seven guys for 8 spots til my pick. i had to go "off that list". brutal.
i found two more guys i really like. i picked one of em.

All Japanese professional players in Japan are eligible as long as they have never had an at bat or IP in MLB.
No college players are eligible, even if they've been drafted by MLB. This means this year's class of MLB draftees are NOT ELIGIBLE.
Only those baseball players (worldwide) that have signed a contract (not in their draft year) with a major professional baseball organization (USA or Japan), but have not appeared in an official game, are eligible.
