I have been playing Strato for years. I have never heard of a pitcher
getting a 15 game injury, EVER. Yet for me it has happened, Matt Belise a pitcher who as a middle reliever threw 94 innings in 76 appearances (12th in all of the majors) and DID NOT SPEND 1 SINGLE DAY ON THE DL LAST YEAR!!! This is unacceptable. Please please please someone explain to me how this is allowed to happen. My team is absolutely screwed now as my set up man is taken out for 5 full series for something that should not be possible to have happen. I think I need a dam refund. I would really like a logical explantion to this.

Well, every pitcher with less than 200 Innings can get injured up to 15 games. I've seen it happen more times than I care to.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe every pitcher with less than 200 IP can get hurt if a "12" is rolled in the 6 column. That injury can be anywhere between 1 and 15 games...horrible break you got there.

I commiserate, especially since it has happened to me numerous times. On the other hand, would you complain if he were to reach 150 innings (which he is on pace to do on one of my teams)? As it is, the categorization of pitchers' injuries is one of the least realistic aspects of the game (that and throwing 150 to 200 innings for relievers), but you gotta take the good with the bad, I suppose.

It's a rule of the game. You've been playing it for years, you should be familiar with it. The fact that it has not happened to you means you have either been lucky or not using the injury rule properly.

Don't blame the online game for a rule that has been in place probably since the beginning.

Really!!! It's akin to the other post whining about Gardner going down for 15 - it's part of the game, so them's the breaks. (Here go my teams, now). It's why it's called a "game", after all.

I agree with the majority of the other posts ahead of mine. The 15-game injury rule has been there forever.

Why the shock?

Sit back and relax

Strato is not a simulation ....it is a completely new season created from the relative worth a group of players from diverse teams used differently than how the real teams used them... I have Chase Utley and he has only played 18 of the first 48 games due to injury oh well that is why the game allows you to drop players at a penalty other wise people would drop players right and left. SO either manage your way around it (my team is in first place) or drop him and relace him. This kind of injury I look at as a challenge. Remember the thing that baseball and Strato do share... the season is a marathon and all that matters is making it into the playoffs, not how you got there.... oh yeah have fun along the way.
