I agree with a lot of what has been said. The 90s are newer, and more managers remember those players from their lifetimes. I think eventually, if interest doesn't completely balance out, at least the 70s will pick back up somewhat. Personally, I have had more success in the 70s, and I think it's specifically because I don't know the players as well (born in 73). In the 70s, I am looking at just the cards; in the 80s and 90s (only 1 90s team so far, didn't do well), I think subliminally in some part I am remembering that player in real life, and perhaps basing decisions on my own memories. At least that is what I tell myself to rationalize my poor 80s and 90s results...
