It's early but.....

Salary Caps

Postby evanthomas » Fri Apr 08, 2011 4:52 pm

i know, i know, the Pats, Celtics and Bruins aren't doing so well with a salary cap in place, but the Red Sox are taking unlimited spending and lack of success to a whole new level. At this rate they will have the highest salary cost per game won in the history of organized, (at least I think they still qualify as an organized activity) sports. And no, they can't have Beltre back. He has shown the ability to both hit and field, wouldn't fit on the current BoSox nine.

We Giants fans are watching a similar implosion....with Aubrey Huff's water buffalo impression in right field...definitely a 5 +1...A repeat isn't looking likely so far.

Nice to get the first win against the Yanks...2 out of 3 from the Yanks would be nice...a sweep would be sweet. Just the early season remedy the BoSox need (well, and their 2 most expensive pitchers to start performing - Lackey, Beckett)
