Quick questions.

Postby BobBoone » Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:59 am

Due to the fact that I am going to be playing in my old park, I will be making adjustments to my team. Am I required to draft all of the players that I drafted in our six rounds, or can I draft the players I intend to use?

If I am not required to draft those six, should I announce here the players I am not drafting to give a fair shot to everyone else to pick them up?

Your announced keepers, your steal pick, and your 6 (or 5) draft picks all need to be on your draft card. After the draft

[quote:0be0f9174f] c. Teams must retain their keepers from end of live draft through the sixth game of season play.[/quote:0be0f9174f]

then you can do anything you want with your team. Keep in mind that players from retired letter pools are retired once they are dropped and may not be acquired again. An exception to this would be dropping a player to get a cheaper (or more expensive) version of the same player's card.
Hope this clears things up.

The Commish should clarify, but I believe this is correct.

I had a similar question, and Bill responded to me that the draft picks are NOT keepers.

You are NOT required to keep them if you do not want them.

Since a couple of teams are already loaded, I suggest your draft picks are not available to anyone else in the autodraft even if you do not use them. Everyone will have a fair shot at them in waivers.

I know they are not keepers, and they do not come under the 6th game rule, but I believe they still must be listed on your draft card.
