He has a complete game victory in this game. I didn't participate in the game, but it was on the headline list for the league last night. Just a bit odd. But who knows.

yeah, I'm in that league where Rivera through a 9-inning shutout. No one can seem to figure out how that happened. No one remembers multiple injuries to the starters and/or why HAL wouldn't have started a middle relief type of pitcher. I guess Rivera should have shunned the closer role and been a starter his whole career.

I'm not sure what's more impressive: Rivera's performance or 21-3 and 3.12 ERA out of Kevin Millwood....

I'm certainly more impressed by Millwood's line. That jumped right out at me. And then I fainted.

there is a scenario where a reliever will start a game even if there are no starting pitching injuries at the time.
its a small loophole, and 1 or 2 owners have figured out how to take advantage of it, but its rare and for the most part a non-factor.
In the great scheme of things, if you have a great closer, and HAL starts him, then he will not be available to close for a few games, which certainly could end up costing a few wins.
