Contributions to bring back YountFan's 70's and 80's stats?

Postby Supersore » Sat Apr 23, 2011 8:49 pm

I just created a new 70's team and learned that YountFan's stats page went down because of website costs.

I for one would contribute money to maintain that site. It's an invaluable aide to the game.

It is tremendous and YF has been kind enough to share it with us for a long time. I too would contribute if it would help.

We either need $$ or a free web space to host YF's site. Any ideas?

have we thought about asking SOM/bernieh to host the site. I would think it would be something that they would want to have. It is a great site and used by most of us that Play the 70's and 80's.

Seems like a good fit for SOM and players.

bernieh what do you think....

Got your email, Greg, thanks.

We'd be happy to host the site BUT it may not be technically convenient or even possible. If it's just a set of static HTML pages, that's easy, but if it requires a database installation, no matter how small, that makes it much tougher to work out. I'd be happy to discuss it with YF in any case. Drop me a line at stratomatic@sportingnews.com if you're interested.

I am starting to move the data to a different place. The 80's Hitters are done. Please check it out

The interactive reports are nice. Use the Action drop down to select Filter and splice and dice as you wish.

If this works for you I'll bring over the rest of the stats
