He's already has 100 plate appearances for me and we are only a little over half way done so he has earned his keep!!

And he's looking like he'll perform a similarly valuable role next year (so far) as well.

Congrats KD. I knew when I lost Gm 5 that you had a great shot to win last night, nice job. I may have to look for another pitching option instead of Wood now that we have a 7-gm series in the initial round....

How did you do it? You busted up my starting pitching (combined ERA of about 6.50 and WHIP 1.50), and you limited Thome/Bautista to 3 hits and 1 HR in 39 ABs. That's a BA under .100 folks, for 2 of the MVP-caliber hitter cards in this deck, and facing RHs almost exclusively. :shock:

And beyond crushing my SPs, you got 10 hits & 5 BBs off of Thatcher & Thornton in 7.1 innings of relief work. Zumaya was my only arm that showed up at all in our series.

I may have not helped myself by deciding to pitch Hudson vs. Felix, I might have been better served giving up on Gm 5, pitching Wood there in your park, and then matching up Huddy against you in Gm 6 at my park, but hard to say what would have worked, if anything.

Congratulations to Sandy for winning his second title in GMKL, which ties him with Hawk and Dave for most titles (I'll get one one of these days).

Just couldn't survive the injuries - lost half my lineup in game 7 against RHP (Morneau, N. Cruz, Blanco & McCann) and that took any punch I had left. The guys tried, but Sandy was too tough.

I agree with you KD and I had the matchup I wanted with Billingsley (a very good starter vs. A RH heavy lineup) but he got hit harder than I expected.

Clearly one of the stars of my season - Jonny Venters was a worthy Game 7 winner.

Winning back to back titles in two different years feels good, especially in a season with some terrific results.

This might be a nice thing to "hang my hat on". I'll be deciding my future soon.
