Hawk & League Members,

Hawk asked the question about a Prospect he has and how can he be promoted to the Major League Roster. After conferring with Drew, we decided because of wording in the League Rules that Hawk can Promote his Prospect Posey only if he does not pick in the 10th Round of our AFA Draft. That leaves a Roster Spot open. Player Movement Rule # 1 states: You draft as many Rounds as it takes to fill your Roster to 40 (not all owners may draft every Round). Rule # 3 states: Prospects can be activated to their Major League Roster during the Regular Season Provided there is a Roster Space available to do so. Owners with a Full 40 Man Roster CANNOT PROMOTE a Prospect until there is room to do so. Rule # 4 states: Regular Players on the 40 Man Roster CANNOT BE RELEASED in order to Promote a Prospect WHILE a Season is in progress. Prospect Rule # 4 states: Prospects can be promoted to the Major League Roster any time, provided there is a Roster Space available. Annual Free Agent Draft Rules # 6 states: All owners must have a Full 40 Man Roster upon Completion of the Annual Draft. Therein lies the loophole.
Also, Owners that do not have a Full 40 Man Roster at the completion of our AFA Draft you may select a Free Agent 1 Day At A Time to get to the Full 40 Man Roster and announce it on this Thread each day. Drew will provide an update on the Rosters after the Prospect Draft.
Lastly, I will load the League into Strat this weekend and provide the Password. We will load by Division as stated in my earlier post.
