Some facts and [u:4d1b1bb943]opinions[/u:4d1b1bb943] with regards to the 2010 set.
1. Lots of higher injury players. High risk=high reward. As usual, have a good backup plan when they go down.
2. There's a big drop off after the top guys at each position get drafted. Better to grab one early than miss out.
3. As with previous sets, on base % (OBP) is at a premium. Those top of the lineup guys have even less OB, and there are less of them. Especially guys with 600 or > PA's.
4. I've lowered my own goals with this set because of it's limitations. In previous sets, I've tried to get the top of the lineup guys with 43-45 OB chances. Now, 40+ OB chances is my goal, when I lose out.
5. While I like the offensive teams in the past, I've been strong with my pitching this set. I don't think I've changed my game plan for building a squad, I think this sets limitations have made it possible to have a good pitching team.
6. Lot's of slanted guys means platoons. I like to have 1 on each team. This set seems to dictate 2 per team for me.
I'll add more as it comes to me...
My 2 cents,
