How is it ok for mbrake to drop Suzuki? If it's a "changed his mind" situation then he shouldn't be allowed to drop him.

In addition, I don't think it's fair for Splinter to be able to pick him there, if the drop is allowed, which it shouldn't be.

I don't know if it's fair or not, but it's an odd "drop". MBrake doesn't have any catchers nor is his team in any kind of financial trouble. Weird and random.

I have a complete team drafted under 60M on site

now if you guys will stop snapping some of them up I would feel better

I kinda agree with Jeep on the in draft drop after the people behind you have chosen

Kev, it's not that odd of a drop because mbrake does have another catcher in Mike Napoli. From what I can gather, it seems like he picked Suzuki then later decided that he would rather upgrade to Napoli as his primary catcher (for whatever reason). He didn't want to have Suzuki as a backup so he dropped him. Perhaps mbrake can provide his own side of the story.

but it was done after other made their pick...

I was not aware one could "upgrade" a previous pick in a live draft

All the drafts I've ever done, once the next pick is made no drops are allowed, unless it's an extenuating circumstance.

You're [u:a10c47dea0]Absolutely[/u:a10c47dea0] not allowed to make a drop because you (the Owner) decided to go in another direction.

I've only encountered this situation once or twice in drafts, and it has not been a problem with other owners to change picks. I am not aware of any "rule" that precludes it.

Think about it...

theoretically...you draft a guy in the 4th round and then 3 rounds later you see your opponets will be stacked with LHH...you drop your 4th rounder and grab a cheapy who can slay LHH and you are all the better

or

late in a draft it turns out I will be under cap...I drop a previous pick and take a guy who brings me up to cap

or

etc etc etc

with that said...I like suzuki and wanted him(he was a proxy) but i will drop him....need to know now before more picks are made

It's taken for granted - that it's not allowed...for numerous reasons, numerous.

I would like to hear more opinions before making a decision, and I want to hear from mbrake. I [u:514aa26f7c]know[/u:514aa26f7c] that it's not fair to make a decision based on 2 or 3 opinions out of 12.
