It is a marvelous SERVICE that is provided by the Commish and his helpers here in this league to try to keep things up to date and actually insure that players have a more than reasonable access to a list of players available. It really is our own responsibility to research, check, and then hold our breath until we can spring that [b:0ba44a6b93]great pick[/b:0ba44a6b93] on the world!
In my case, I, as did half the League, waited just one round too long to pick up Chapman, for example. I, too, had Martin in my sights for a while and I certainly can name a slew of players my competition snatched away that my scouting staff (me and my iPhone) failed to come up with. It's all part of the "fun". NOTHING beats a full initial draft in a Keeper League with the kind of outstanding rules being used in our Bud Selig League.
Of course, when we wrap this thing up in only an other 15 or so rounds, we get to look at Prospects and then plan for the mid-season/tween season draft, so the fun is just beginning.
Again thank you all for making it possible for players like me to einjoy the Leagues without doing all the scutt work! I do create a list at the beginning of all Pitchers, all Players, in the set from the download and then mark them off; sometimes I fall way behind, sometimes I miss, but here we really have things easy.
Actually, there is a VERY PRACTICAL REASON to limit player picks to people who had at least one at bat or pitched in the previous season in an initial draft-- those are the players on the STRAT player list, whether or not they are actually given "cards" or put into special categories by SOMO.
Now, where again is this 'updated' sheet to which reference has been made?
