New Theme League-Leonard Pope League- combined with LP Phils

Ok ducapa, we can go with a chat draft or use diamonddope and figure out specifics and what works for everybody when league is full. I wasn't sure if there would be enough interest in a live draft to fill league since they are more involved.

If we do a chat draft or use diamondope I would not mind keeping track of picks, I can usually check in at least every couple of hours, unless real busy at work or hiking.

I checked out the diamonddope draft site, I think that will work fine. We can set up the draft specifics when league fills. Using dd draft will allow more roster size possibilites, let's wait until league is full before making any decisions on that.

I used the Diamond Dope Draft. It is easy and you can do proxies. Glad to be aboard.

Since stadiums can be drafted using diamonddope I added that to the rules, I think everyone having a different stadium is more realistic and fun.

Leonard Pope was a hero. I'm a Chiefs fan and appreciate the fact that he was the only person who knew how to swim at that party.
On the other hand, I think a league named after Joe Delaney would be appropriate. For those of you who don't recall, Delaney was a rookie RB for the KC Chiefs in the early 80s (rushed for over 1,000 yds). He had a great future ahead of him.
Delaney, saw a drowning boy in a river and jumped in to save him. The problem is that Delaney didn't know how to swim. Joe Delaney died trying to save the boy.

Blackjack, I would normally join a league like this, but I'm currently trying to run 15 teams and in the middle of a couple keeper drafts. I'm a little overwhelmed right now.

I do remember Delaney and always admired him for what he did. Don't see his name brought up much anymore, are there any kind of memorials to him in KC?

I understand being too busy, I think a lot of people are in the same boat right now. I was going to wait a while longer before starting this but got impatient. Probably will not draft/play until after 4th of July even if we fill up before then.
