Dumb defensive rating question

Postby Larryrickenbacker » Sat Jun 18, 2011 11:38 am

Howdy,

I've got another dumb SS question, here goes..
Assuming neither SS can hit his way out of the hotel [i:9c812ed58c]lobby[/i:9c812ed58c], what is the difference between a 3e19 and a 2e28? Do alot more ground balls get through the infield with the 3e19 vs. the 2e28?

I know that a chart exists that has fielding equivalents on it because I have seen it in the past. You're on the right track with your thinking. I'll try to figure out where but I'm sure some of the other guys here can find that right away.

Try this...I think the fielding ratings are at the bottom.

A "point" of range is worth about the following number of errors:

ss: 20-25
2d: 15-20
cf, c, 3d: 8-10
1b, lf, rf: 5-7

There is a chart somewhere that breaks down each of the exact differences.
