2 Team Phillies Franchise Theme League - see new thread

Say I pick Cardinals and Cubs, would all players from those teams be off limits to other owners, even if I did not draft them or have them on my roster?

For draft order I vote for reverse of W-L % of two franchises.

Yes, all players from your 2 franchises are off limits to others except via trade. The only free agents will be any undrafted Phillies and players from the undrafted franchises except those taken in the 3 round player draft. The updated rules will always be in the first post of this thread.

I asume that the draft would be serpentine style. If so, you would want an even number of draft picks to make the draft as equitable as possible.

Two questions -

1. How do you plan to impose the $120m cap - there isn't an option for that amount? Tracking it manually (who would track it)? If you go higher on the cap it would discourage trades as GM's would likely keep players as expensive back ups. Even at $120m this could be the case.
2. CATom recommended unique stadiums which most folks like in these leagues but the rules currently say that it must be a stadium from the 2 teams....or from the 4 players drafted. So if everyone liked Citizens (since all would have a Phillie) you'd have a lot of dups possible or any of the other undrafted team's stadiums. Being clear on the stadium choice and making it unique would help sell the theme I think.

Thanks for the input, I guess I'm wrong that $120M is not one of the salary cap options on SOM. Cap is $140M.
I don't mind some dup stadiums but it limits the choices to 6 per owner.[/quote]

I do think we should combine our leagues (L. Pope and this one), and alternate seasons/ideas from everybody. That way we could fill faster and not have to worry about two drafts at once. But I can do both
