Got an idea for a 12 season league

No idea if it's been done before. Was thinking of starting a team with Mays, Aaron and Robinson in the OF. But then I thought, why not pit teams by generation...

So here's the proposal.

Divide the entire ATG set into 12 teams by era (as defined below) and by league.

Pre 1922 AL
Pre 1922 NL
1922-1939 Al
1922-1939 NL
1940-1957 Al
1940-1957 NL
1958-1975 AL
1958-1975 NL
1976-1993 AL
1976-1993 NL
1994 - AL
1994 - NL

Auto draft. Players with multiple cards assigned via autodraft to carded teams only.

Made the db to 1921 to have a shot at Ruth for the AL team as the NL gets the pre 1900 guys, trying to even that out a bit.

I was thinking 100, 120 or 140 with dh. Lower caps tend to equalize any disparity in the talent, somewhat, so maybe 100? I'm not overly invested in the cap size.

One issue would be what to do with the NEL. It was in existence from 1920 until integration. I love those guys but it might screw up the balance if they were included.

Agreed on the NeL, we should keep keep it strictly AL and NL. I'm also in favor of $100m cap.

*[i:34f51691b5]I also agree about leaving the NeL players out, and a $100m cap sounds about right. Will be teams be assigned randomly, or will we draft them after a draft order determination? And I assume our parks will be era and NL/AL specific?[/i:34f51691b5]
