Bobby Bonds

Don, you're 100% correct, and that's why I was trying to find out if it was just a glitch. I come back to the fact that he's very seldomly used. I just went through my last 14 teams and he was used only 2 times in 14 leagues.

I realize there are all kinds of factors but some players, even in his price range, consistently produce and others (like the ones I mentioned before) hardly ever get selected. Bonds seems to be in that category but I've not seen anyone suggest why...

A 2 defensively, strong arm, fast on the base paths and lots of dingers on the card, yet he's hardly ever selected. Why?

Sounds like his card is reliving the lack of love that Bobby faced during his major league career. As a Giants fan from the 60s, I could never understand why Bonds never got the recognition that should have been rightly his. Probably because he was one of the first players who was beginning to break the mold, someone would eventually lead to Rickey Henderson. Bobby wasn't Willie (either Mays or McCovey); being Bobby Bonds should have been enough. Man, could he play!!
