I assume and/or propose that this be the only season we draft a grouping, and from here on out just rotate through the groupings based on the chronological order Petrosian set forth.

Had another league like this where we drafted each season, even though we were gonna get to play all the teams. That slow team draft made me want to stick toothpicks in my eyeballs...........

I concur about having just one draft now and then making that set the rotation up for the next 11 leagues. Also, I think maybe we should move this to the ILC forum.

Yeah, that's the best way to do it. You just need to decide when you want to start the second season. In leagues like this, they usually start at the halfway point of the current season, or wait until the season concludes.

Are there enough post-1993 players in either the AL or NL to fill a team? Maybe, but it sure looks impossible to do so under a $120 mil cap. Virtually every one of the few eligible player is $7 mil-plus (emphasis on the PLUS) and there's a definite shortage of R-only pitchers.

Do we need to change the year to 1990 (or earlier), or raise the cap for those teams only?

How about allowing 50 cent fillers from other periods for the 1994 teams. I wouldn't want to raise the cap.

I just perused all the EXP franchises, and tried to count up the number of players available for '94 on up. I came up with 79. I tried to take in to account multiple cards, but didn't bother with how many were AL/NL, their salaries or positions. I could be off the count by 3-5. Of that 79 or so, a good number (maybe up to 25%?) have other cards that fall in to the earlier era ('76-'93). You may have to say that the '94 on up squads get first dibs on the eligible players with multiple cards from the earlier era, and/or expand it to make it '90 on up. I don't have time to look in to it any deeper at the moment, but yeah, it could be an issue.

The salary cap is $100M, not $120M.
