Well, this guy did:

Amazingly, he's on his 2nd wife now. :)

I got married way before the internet existed, but how many checked SOM online box scores while on your honeymoon?

I can relate to him. Not the marriage part but bringing the game where it might not be so wanted part. After I joined the Army I bought a Strat game set and played it solitaire in an Army room. In case you don't know, the Army has lots of rooms or buildings for this thing and that thing. Anyhow, there I was in a chair rolling my dice and couldn't have cared less about what was happening around me.

Somehow I don't feel quite as strange now.

Our honeymoon was in Japan, and yes I went down to the lobby and paid 100 yen/10 minutes to check on my teams :P

I was married on April 29th, 2006. The answer is yes..........I checked my teams every day on my Honeymoon (Sun Valley, Idaho). Oddly, my new wife was amused by it. She still is today. I think she prefers that I spend my time on Strato than the porn sites and bar hopping.

Did not bring Strat cards on my honeymoon, but I did bring my wife with me to watch game three of the 1995 Stanley Cup finals in a bar in Petoskey, MI.

That guy was awarded the Ultimate Strat Fanatic at the 50th anniversary celebration in NY earlier this year. The award gives him a free set of cards for every year for life.
I am so jealous.
I got married in 2002, before I reclaimed my Strat addiction. However, I have played Strat CD-Rom on my laptop or checked my results here during vacations with the fam, and even in the hospital in the days after my daughter's birth.
I remember the SOM site meltdown and the ensuing fury on the boards well because it happened while I was on vacation in Maine, late July 2009.
