3-round Playoffs coming to 24-team leagues

24 team leagues are pretty rare to form. Takes 24 guys who don't mind working with a shallower player pool to work with.

Any chance something can be done to enable more participation in 24 team leagues? Right off hand, a promotion seems like the idea, but maybe there are other means.

I'd love to play 24 team leagues but they just never get formed.

I have to chime in on this one as well. This is AWESOME!! I love the 24-team league but have been turned off by winning 95 games and missing the playoffs.
It's great to see that us users are being heard. :D

I too will start playing 24-team leagues again!!

Just as I finish just out of the old playoffs for the second time in a row! Why not give all of us in the leagues wrapping up now a bonus! I am still ruing every opting for a format that DECREASES my chances of making the playoffs no matter how hard I work at it. :cry:

While everyone seems to be ecstatic about the new playoff method, I really don't see it as that significant of an improvement. Wasn't the payout scheme the same before? It seems like the only difference is that you have a better chance to at least be in the playoffs. However, you still have to win the quarterfinals AND semifinals to win a credit if you don't win your division outright. That is quite a daunting task given how nebulous the playoff results can be.

Am I the only one seeing this?

It's not about the payoff, it's about making the playoffs.
The payout ratio was the same as 12-team leagues, but the percentage of playoff teams was half that as 12-team leagues (4-in-24 to 4-in-12). So, now they are identical in ratio.
Can't win credits unless you make the playoffs, and making the playoffs in 24-team leagues was very difficult.

I wonder if Bernie or TSN would consider making features like this
(i.e., interesting but potentially diluted the overall manager pool)
limited time but recurring promotions.

Kind of like McDonalds with its McRibs. Allow leagues to get started
for a limited time (like a month), then but them on the shelf for 6 months
or more.

Its a nice option to have from time to time, but if all the formats are
always available, some of the less-frequented options can get marginalized.

i went to dinner at 6 and the first 24 team league had 5 teams. back at 945 and it already filled.... Bernie i dont know if this new playoff format will catch on...........

Thanks for setting this up Bernie, a lot of us have been asking for the 24 team playoff system to be revamped, due to our teams winning 90 + games and not making it into the 2nd half. The joy for me in Strat is making up my team and playing in the Post-season! I'm looking for a ATGv6 Franchise Theme League with this new 24- Playoff system. Anybody thinking about setting one up.............

What about a "buy one 2010 (or whatever) get one 24 team credit free". I don't know how Bernie would limit the '24 team credit', but it would increase overall traffic, especially to the 24 team league. I'd imagine a lot of guys who join the 24 team league would actually be paying, so the free ones would help facilitate that. It seems like the cost of selling an additional unit is not linear, so it would likely be a net gain for TSN.
