2005, When Good pitching Goes Bad!

2005, When Good pitching Goes Bad!

HELP!!!!!, Thought that my starting pitching was my strength going into the season. In the meantime I'm getting buried by Zambrano and Willis with Johnson and Mulder holding down the fort. I'm thinking of dropping Willis and picking up a Morris or Zito and just praying that Zambrano turns it around.

As usual any thoughts, opinions, brickbats would be appreciated.

Sigh, Can't wait for the regular season to start.

dont think its your pitching, its your hitting. oba under .300, slugging under .400 and the ba hovering a little above the mendoza line. some of your main offensive guys arent even close to hitting their cards and with all that you're still right around .500, not bad. in your park i would have tried to go w/ more lefty power.....how many games back are you and what hitters are on the FA list?

Big mistake to drop your SPs

look at your offense. The changes need to start there. What's your lineups like?

Try this:
vs R
Kotsay
Dunn
Lee
Hollandsworth
Burnitz
Lowell
Everett
Uribe
Pierzynski

vs R
Kotsay
Dunn
Lee
Lowell
Burnitz
Hall
Uribe
Kearns
Sanchez

Make sure your baserunners are not taking unnecessary chances.
You have no team speed or basestealers.

Thanks for the replies. Considering how bad my hitting is I am lucky to be only one game out. Figured that Dunn, Hollingsworth Kotsay and Burnitz would be enough lefty hitting but they have all been bad. Only Uribe has been consistant all year long.

The best part is that I am doing much better away than at home and i have a bunch of Petcos and Shea's in the league.

The only thing I was thinking about was dumping Lee and bringing in cabrera in Left. Not sure what else to do except hope the hitters come around.
