definitely want to second Irish Meusel. should be a decent card worthy of teaming w/ Bob

Carlos Zambrano (any 2, preferably not overloaded vs. either R or LHBs but NOT 2001)

Kerry Wood ('98, '01, '02, or '03)

a non-Cubs Gary Matthews
'66, '67, or '68 Dolfo Phillips (the real missing ingredient from the '69 Cubs, because Durocher didn't like him)
Lennie Merullo (not 41 or 46)
Charlie Hollocher ('21 or '20; '22 would be even better but not as realistic)
Freddie Pfeffer (any year 1884-1894)
Warren Hacker (any year 1953-1956)
Charlie Comiskey (1888 or 1889)
Ray Lankford ('95 or '98)
Todd Zeile ('93 and 2001)
Jack Wilson 2003 and 2007
Matty Alou '66 or '69
the guy hits .330+ for 4 years in a pitchers era and we have his 1970 card?

Skeeter Bigby 1920 or '21
Dave Concepcion 1978
one of the best SS ever, he deserves his .300 season in the player set

Vada Pinson 1961 FRobby's Redlegs running mate
Ernie Lombardi 1938 a near forgotten HOFer: a card that might get him used once in a while
Roger Metzger '73 or '74
Kessinger kept him out of the Cubs lineup, but he was pretty slick at his best

Rusty Staub '69 or '71
J.T. Snow '97 & '95
Shanty Hogan any 2 from '27-'34
Joe Girardi '96 &/or '01
Steve Finley '92, '02
Lyman Bostock any
a tragic end, he should be remembered here

Mickey Morandini '95
Moises Alou '94, '01, & '04 Felipe and Moises in same of...

Hubie Brooks '84 & '85 a pretty nice player from the '80s

Coco Laboy '69
came up at 28 in the Expos 1st season, that should be worth something

Andres Gallaraga '88 & '95
19 seasons, 399 career homers, lifetime .288; worth remembering

Wil Cordero '94
Jose Vidro '99
Todd Hundley '94
Felix Milan '71 a great 2b, deserves to be remembered
Dave Magadan '89 Mets franchise teams need him
Joel Youngblood '80
Andruw Jones '02
Rafael Furcal '05
David Justice '91
Eric Karros '94 and '95
second only to Hodges in games at 1b for Dodgers and no card? what's up with that?

Request for Player additions

Postby 2cityfan » Thu Jul 21, 2011 12:29 pm

I have created numerous franchise leagues, and I would really like to able to do a 24 team post WW2 franchise league without having too force supplemental players in the Expansion team pool to fill gaps.. We need some usable players for $100mil or $80 leagues in the EXP player pools:

Seattle EXP needs an upgrade at 2b (althought at least Reynolds is a 1), and Vizquel at SS.. They could use a better 1b (maybe Olerud)

CAL Exp, needs SS, and 2b (even Discacinia as a 1 would be helpful)
a better Joyner card for 1b, or Erstad

OaK A's Exp - Tejada at SS, need a good 2b as well.. Giambi at 1b would be solid

Tex exp - needs a good fielding 2b - McLemore

CWS exp - better Guillen at SS, better Ventura at 3b, better pitching Wilbur Wood, Cy young Jack mcDowell, 1983 Hoyt and Fisk, Need a useable 2b in the Exp era set, 1990 Thigpen,

Clev exp - need a 1b.. Thome? need a 2b other than Alomar Tony Fernandez?),need a SS - Vizquel with Franco

Tor exp - need a 2b other than Alomar, need a 1b (93 Olerud, or Molitor), better Joe Carter

KC exp - needs a better SS, and a better hitting 1b, 1977 Al Cowens in RF, and more pitching depth

Hou exp - Metzger at SS he's a 1, Thon is a good bat but the 3 fielding at SS is a drag

Mont exp - need 2b and SS, more SP - Dennis Martinez and Al Oliver 82 at 1b

NYM exp - need Rey Ordonez at SS, and a version of Alfonzo with a "2" at 2b

SD exp - need a 2b - Q. Veras?, a better Nate Colbert?, better OF depth in CF and LF like Steve Finley and Greg Vaughn, a better Randy Jones with Kevin Brown SP, Cy Young version of Gaylord Perry at SP as well..

Minn exp - Greg gagne at SS for the "1", an impact Knoblauch, and Gaetti at 3b, Shane Mack would be good as well

Pitt exp - needs a better jose Lind at 2b, the all star Van Slyke, more SP, Jack Wilson at SS

STl exp - needs a better 2b than Herr

This is not an exhaustive list, I just want to see some of the gaps filled in the exp era team sets..

thanks

Don't know if anyone listed this previously, but 1989 NL MVP Kevin Mitchell might get a loot. Sick season.

I would like to see a NEW card period. All this talk and nothing as of yet. I know they have added some game improvements and it's appreciated. But when do wew receive new cards? Just asking.

Did Bernie ever give us an ETA regarding when the new players would be merged, and added into the ATGv6 pool?
